Honey Garlic Sauce
I remember looking for a homemade honey garlic sauce recipe many years ago so I could stop using store bought ones that were full of salt and other additives. I finally found a garlic sauce recipe that looked good and, thankfully, I was able to add honey and make it perfect! Here’s my recipe. I hope you enjoy.
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
1 cup water
3 tbsp soy sauce (I use a low sodium version)
2-3 tbsp honey
Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan. I personally prefer the fresh garlic whenever possible; it’s so delicious! Stir over medium-high heat until sauce begins to boil and thicken. Remove from heat and pour over the ribs. Bake as you usually do. I usually cook at 375F until my thermometer says they are done and I always try and baste the ribs in the sauce once or twice during cooking. Enjoy!
